What do you mean by E and F in the elevator?

E in the elevator is emergency stop and F is fire.

Modern elevator mainly consists of traction machine (winch), guide rail, weight control device, safety device (such as speed limiter, safety clamp and buffer device), signal control system, cage and hall door. These parts are respectively installed in the shaft and machine room of the building.

Usually, the rope friction drive is adopted. The rope bypasses the traction wheel, and the two ends are respectively connected with the cage and the balance weight. The motor drives the traction wheel to make the car up and down. Elevators are required to be safe, reliable, efficient, level accurate and comfortable. The basic parameters of the elevator mainly include rated load, number of passengers, rated speed, outer profile size of car and well type, etc.
